Dear Visitors Good Day
In this modern Era many people use PC (Personal Computers). It is called PC because Only one person can use a computer at one time. If we have a PC and we put that PC in our homes or anywhere else. It would also be used by other users. They might also use same programs that you use on that computer. Surely they also use folders that you also use.
In this tutorial I will teach you how to restrict other users from accessing a specific folder. If you want to prevent the users to access your personal folder then you should to the following.
Before applying permissions on a folder you should Be an Administrator of Computer.

Setp 1:  Logon to your Computer as Admin.
Step 2:  Go to Start àControl Panel à User accounts and make another user with limited account. See   How to make a limited Account inWindows XP (Tutorial)

Step 3:  Go to My Computer à Tools Menu à Folder Options à Go to ViewTab. In Advance Settings Area Scroll down to the last option and Uncheck Use simple file sharing (Recommended). And then click OK. As shown in the figure.

Step 4:  Right click on Folder à Properties àGo to Security Tab and click on Add button. As shown in the figure.

 Step 5:  Here I will add a user who will not access to this folder. I already made a user named Others. Ok then, after clicking on Add button in folder’s properties’ view’s tab, another dialogue box will appear named Select users or Groups. Here Enter the user name. The user name should be valid no spelling errors. And then click on Check Names Button. If the user name appears following the administrator then you are on the right way (as shown in the figure), If another dialogue appears then you wrote wrong user name.

Step 6: Now that we added the user “Others” into Groups or User Names. Select the User in Groups or User Names Area. Select All the deny Check Box and Click on OK (As shown in the Figure).

 Step 7: Now log in to that account and you double click on that folder. Now you cannot access to that folder.

Howto Make a Limited User Account in Windows XP

Dear Visitors Good Day
In this tutorial I will show you How to Make a Limited User Account in Windows XP.
Step 1:  Log In as Administrator User in Windows XP.
Step 2: Go To Startà Control Panel àUser Accounts
Step 3: In the User Accounts Window Click on Create a New Account.
Step 4: Write User Account Name and Click Next (As Shown In the Figure).
Write You name in the box and click on Next Button
 Step 5: In next step Select Limited Account and Click on Create Account Button. (As Shown in the Figure).
Select Account Type and Click on Create Account
 
Step 6:  Now Select that Account and Click on Create a Password. The Password is important if you want to apply permissions on that users.
Now You made a limited Account to which you can apply permissions.

What is Mail Merge

Mail Merge is a toll through which we can create the production of multiple documents from a single template. The letter may be sent out to many recipients with small changes, such as a change of address or a change in the greeting line. MS Word allows users to send 1 letter or slips (i.e roll number slip, education DMCs,) to large number of people.
Let us do it….

In this exercise we will do Mail Merge Directory. Through which we can make large numbers of Slips and DMCs etc.
Step 1:  Make a design for Salary Slip as follow
File format
 
Be carefull that the salary slip have text boxes in all empty fields I hide all the text box’s lines and attributes so it cannot be shown. I shown only one text box in above example.

Step 2:  Make List for the salary slip in which the following columns should be included. And save that file
Name of Employee  –  Designation  –  Attendance  –  Salary Payable  –  Deduction  –  Net Salary

Step 3: After creating both files open the Salary Slip (Word format file).
Step 4: Go to Mailings (Excel 2007)
Step 5: Then go to Start Mail Merge à then select Directories.
Step 6: Now go to Select Recipients à Click on Use
               Existing List

 and select Then excel file which you Made. Named Salary. And click OPEN. Then Select the sheet where list is located and click OK button.
Step 7: Now select the field in the table and click on the related field in the command mentioned below 


 
Step 8: Now click on Finish & Merge Buttong à Then click on Edit Individual Documents àSelect All
àClick OK
All the salary slips are now created.

There is no way to install programs on a limited account. Administrators always protect limited users to install programs in computer. However there is another way to run programs.
Portable programs
Portable programs mean that you do not need to run setup. For this you need to download portable programs. There are many softwares available on internet which can be downloaded and run directly on computer. Som programs that I have are as follow.
